Philippe Guillerm
Philippe Guillerm began his professional life in Paris, France where he was born in the late 1950s. He has traveled around the world on his forty-eight foot sailboat, the YaYa, with his wife Jacqueline and their two daughters. While cruising in the winter, Phillipe can be found scouting for interesting pieces of driftwood or working on art projects at the Black Pearl Museum in Tahiti, the International airports in Papeete and New Caledonia, and several yacht clubs and restaurants from Brazil to Australia. In warmer weather he also creates new work in his studio\home located in Maine.
Guillerm's music-inspired sculptures are often whimsical and curvaceous stringed instruments. His works inspires dreams, illusions, and invite the viewer to stop and reflect on the music in human nature. Philippe's work has been exhibited in galleries in Europe, South America, the Pacific Islands, France, Canada and the United States.
