Kathleen Brodeur

"I believe painting is a spiritual experience, which unveils the subconscious mysteries of the inner psyche. My Paintings reveal themselves too me with each brushstroke, bringing forth a mixture of textures and colors."

Kathleen was born in Monroe, Connecticut in 1965. As a child she loved art, music, and reading; spending most of her time drawing and exploring nature. She has studied art since the 6th grade. In college, Florida State University, she spent most her time in the dark room for her love of photography. Graduating with a bachelors in visual communication and studio art.

Brodeur's Painting have evolved during the past 20 years, but one aspect remains the same, her sense of color. She currently paints with a impressionistic style, working from photographs taken during her travels abroad. Her work is still spontaneous, but it is tighter, more detailed and realistic. She evokes memories and emotions from these past moments and recreates them canvas. her goal is for the viewer to share the experience with, as if they were there at the scene together.. Brodeur also has an ongoing body of abstract photography and has sense exhibited these works in United States and Europe.
